Hmm.. i am at such a loss when first started out, lucky my HB did all the research..hehe!
Before starting out, we were contempeting whether should we engage an ID or contractor. However after reading through several renovation magazines on the rough cost expected for a basic renovation plus a good renovation forum that i highly recommended RenoTalk.com we decided an ID is a beta choice for us.
Why we choose Interior Designer ??
Reason being we dun have time or experience to coordinate with different contractors. Especially when we totally know nuts abt tiles, piping etc, it is more time saving for us to engage an ID who will do everything for us. Of course, we still need time to check on the work but at least, the stress and time is greatly reduced.
Secondly,we dun have much design ideas. The only thing we wanted our home theme is MODERN CONTEMPORARY.(That's wat my HB always say..hehe) Lastly the warranty given by ID firm normally is 1-2 years.After serious consideration..Wala..we decided ID is the BEST!
